Cowboys backup quarterback Kellen Moore had another sub-par performance Saturday night against the Colts, reportedly raising concerns in the team’s front office.
Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Saturday that a team source said Moore will be a “subject of conversation at personnel meetings this week.”
The Cowboys are obviously set with Dak Prescott as the starter at QB, but the 29-year-old Moore, who has thrown only 104 passes in parts of two NFL seasons, is still unproven as a backup option. He’s completed 18 of 38 passes for 200 yards in the first two preseason games, including 10-21 for 131 yards in Saturday’s 24-19 win over the Colts, but lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown.
The criminal complaint stated Green allegedly hit his 15-year-old when he became upset she would not do her chores. Green’s daughter told deputies he pushed her to the floor, into cabinets, and forcefully carried her into kitchen. The daughter said that Green punched her, and Green told deputies he slapped her upside the head.
The complaint also notes that Green’s daughter suffered a black eye and scrapes by her eye. Green said the injuries came from accidentally hitting her glasses. After the incident, the daughter went to a neighbor’s house to call police. Green’s wife, other family members and a nanny were in the home at the time of the incident.
Green, 40, had stints with Green Bay, Seattle and Houston during his 12 seasons in the NFL and finished his career after the 2009 season with 9,205 rushing yards, 2,883 receiving yards and 74 total touchdowns. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, he rushed for more than 1,000 yards six times for the Packers and remains Green Bay’s all-time leading rusher with 8,322 yards.
